The complaint reports were agreed to be dealt with in private session on the grounds that they are likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972; or that the complaint reports contain information which is likely to reveal the identity of an individual as defined in paragraph 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12 A of the Local Government Act 1972.

Complaint for assessment C03

Minutes:

The Assessment Sub-Committee received the report of the Monitoring Officer and discussed the case, including hearing the views of the Independent Representative, and the Town and Parish Representative.  The Assessment Sub-Committee having regard to the report of the Monitoring Officer, the Local Assessment Criteria, and the views of the Independent Person, decided on the progression of the complaint as follows:

 

No further action in relation to the allegation relating to paragraphs 4(a) 5 (a) and 5(c);

Monitoring Officer Investigation on the basis of paragraphs 6(b)(i) & (ii); 6.1, 7, 7.1 and 7.2 of the Code of Conduct (registering disclosable pecuniary and personal interests) and 6.2, 8.1 and 8.2 (declaring interests) of the Code of Conduct.

Other Action: Training to be undertaken by the Subject Member on the Code of Conduct, specifically on the requirements for registering interests; and in terms of appropriate behaviour in responding to others at meetings/in correspondence/on social media.
